VeggieTales: Gideon: Tuba Warrior

In the forthcoming latest of the VeggieTales DVDs, Bob and Larry, with a little unwelcome help from the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, present a pair of stories about trusting God.

The first tells the story of George Mueller, who began with one orphanage and branched off into many more, all without ever asking for donations. Archibald Asparagus and Pa Grape bring this story to life with the usual Veggie embellishments. (Pa Grape is a reporter with a tabloid resembling the Weekly World News.)

Following a mediocre-but-still-amusing silly song featuring Bob and the French Peas, the main feature begins. Gideon (Larry), a marching band tuba player, gets a visit from an angel, played by Pa Grape (Yeah, he's everywhere in this DVD.) and learns that God has chosen him to defeat the Midianite army, who remind me of veggie versions of Obelix. The story plays out similar to the story from the book of Judges, although with slushies instead of drinking from a river and a great drum line instead of smashing jars.
