'Basic Instinct' Director Paul Verhoeven: Jesus Was Son of Mary and Roman Rapist

In his upcoming biography of Jesus, "Basic Instinct" director Paul Verhoeven will make the shocking claim that Christ probably was the son of Mary and a Roman soldier who raped her during the Jewish uprising in Galilee.
This idea has been around since the Talmud was written, but Jesus would've then looked Roman to some degree. Regardless, nothing new here. Move along.

So here it is, yet another individual who tries to cook up some free advertising by trying to offend the Christians. Honestly, if he wants to exploit someone to line his pockets why not do something historical, pick up a copy of Suetonius's The Twelve Caesars for inspiration. A lesson on what happens when you let your government get out of control would actually be of benefit!
