• First Amendment clash reaches Supreme Court

Pleasant Grove City, Utah, rejected a monument proposed for a public park by a new-age religious group calling itself the Church of Summum. Its adherents wanted a monument with their Seven Principles of Creation, also known as the Seven Aphorisms, near a Ten Commandments monument dedicated by a fraternal order.
