Church deadline to curb gay rights

The US Episcopal Church has been given seven months to change its ways or face being kicked out of the Anglican Communion.
The US Episcopal church needs to stop promoting homosexual unions and marriages and stop ordaining homosexual bishops or be removed from the Anglican Communion.
Does anyone else find this ironic, given that the Church of England is taking a stand while the government of England is forcing churches to recognize homosexual couples?
