CRC synod votes to allow leadership roles for women

The 2007 synod of the Christian Reformed Church voted Tuesday night to allow women to have greater roles in the church.Women now serve as ministers and deacons in some churches, but the annual synod changed its language by removing the word "male" from its qualifications for becoming a minister.
Another church body follows society instead of the Word.
