Gay Atlanta Pastor Removed From Clergy

According to a report from the ELCA's disciplinary committee, Rev. Bradley Schmeling will be removed from the roster Aug. 15, after leading St. John's Lutheran Church in Atlanta since 2000.But according to the same committee, the rule is "bad policy." How is the Bible "bad policy"?
