"Elton John’s comments that religion promotes hatred of homosexuals is a misconception widely held in the gay community, a pro-gay church group said today." That's the perception, but it's a misperception. Christianity, at least, doesn't promote hatred toward anyone. We also will call sin what it is, and any church that doesn't do so is neither doing its job nor helping anyone.
