Shroud of Turin to be dated by Oxford

The Colorado University physicist, John Jackson, believes that the high level of carbon monoxide in previous tests skewed the results by 1,300 years and there are many other elements that indicate it is much more ancient.“There is a lot of other evidence that suggests to many that the shroud is older than the radiocarbon dates allow and so further research is certainly needed,” said head of the Oxford Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit that tested the shroud in 1988, Christopher Ramsey.
