• Town Reacts To Controversy Sparked By Jesus Pamphlet

Parents Mel Downs and Robert Voitile pulled their daughters out of school on Friday after they said teacher Wally Rogers encouraged a discussion about media reports on his keeping religious literature in the classroom and handing out a pamphlet titled "Why Jesus is better than Santa Claus." Downs and Voitile said during the course of the discussion their daughters were harassed by other students and that Rogers did nothing to stop it.
