Woman fatally bitten by snake during church service

"A woman died after being bitten by a snake during a serpent-handling service at church, police said."
Serpent handling as part of a church service is illegal in Kentucky, but East London Holiness Church decided to do it anyway. So did Linda Long not have enough faith, or should we look at Mark 16 differently?
